Zlatko Baracskai is a senior lecturer of Audio and Music technology at the University of the West of England in Bristol. He is also a freelance composer and musical interaction designer. His area of interest primarily includes sound synthesis, audio processing and contemporary music.

Zlatko’s music feeds on challenging auditory perception and musical semiotics. Within the formation Disturbulence3 his role is the one of providing electronic processing that can be considered disturbance to the realm of performance with acoustic instruments. This he achieves by processing the sound of the instruments to achieve mutation beyond the recognition of the sound source. Real-time manipulation of voltage controlled analogue processing modules allows for improvisatory interaction with his fellow musicians. The chaotic nature of the implemented processes often lead the band in performance that is based on mutual exploration of the unexplored.
