Damir Bacikin is a freelance musician and a trumpet player. He is based in Berlin where he graduated from HfM “Hanns Eisler” and the Berlin Music Conservatory specialising in contemporary music and advanced trumpet technique, Bacikin is constantly in search of the sounds beyond expectations. This quest for timbral uniqueness inspires his structural approach in the turbulence of interaction with other musicians.
His musical choices in Disturbulence3 evolve around contributing to a provocative atmosphere with the primary goal to motivate fellow musicians. The edge of the challenge is sharpened with everything between self-sacrifice and absolute authority. The struggle is deep and personal but the language is universal. However, partial authority is the absence of it, control is lost deliberately; the moment thrives through absence of mind. Verbal perception, the eternal monologue becomes the lasting sound that no one will ever know the origin of.
